Why Read?
The Word of God is a lamp for our feet. It is a light for our path. Through it, our minds are transformed, and we can test and approve the Lord's good, perfect, and pleasing will.
The Word of God is not a horoscope. It is not a fortune cookie. It is not a positive affirmation. It is not a motivational meme. It is not a life coach.
It is the living, active, sword-sharp Word of the Living God. It is a priceless glimpse into who God is and what He desires for His creation for all of eternity. It is the unfolding story of God's love for His wayward children and His relentless and redemptive pursuit of us. In it are the keys to unspeakable joy, peace that surpasses understanding, perfect love, and eternal life in heaven.
I am passionate about encouraging you in your Bible reading. Not so we can read for reading sake, but because it is in His Word and through His Word that we find God. I hope you enjoy Him this month and every month ahead.
