It’s June!
How was your May? Recently, I’ve read several hilarious depictions of May. Mayhem. May-zember. MayCray. As you may know, my son graduated from high school this May, so our family couldn’t wait for June. We weren’t wishing away the time, just wishing away the pace and chaos of May. June is here, which for us means slowing down and taking time off. It also means getting more time to read. This summer, I’d like to invite you to do something special with me: let’s read with our kids!
My daughter and I plan to read the New Testament together this year using my 52 Weeks in the Word Student Edition. If you are reading the Bible in a year, one tip is to read the Psalms and then one chapter of the New Testament. You can also keep reading what you have planned alongside your child. Make it a fun, pressure-free adventure for the whole family. Maybe post the calendar up and mark off each day for both of you. Add prizes or stickers. Have fun and enjoy your summer reading.
